Newspaper
This project consists of the front and inside page of a fictional newspaper named The Milwaukee Chronicle. Elements created were based on research from three different real-world newspapers. Elements of a newspaper that are used are Headlines, Body Copy, Subhead, Headers, Pull Quotes and Credit Lines. Paragraph styles were used to create consistency. There are three, quality gray marker illustrations on the front page, and one marker illustration on the inside page. The overall composition of each page demonstrates an application of design principles: contrast, repetition, proximity, emphasis, balance and alignment. A grid structure was used in the layout of each page for alignment. The client for this would be a fictional company named The Milwaukee Chronicle and the audience would be newspaper readers. Some of the pictures were hand drawn maker illustrations and colored in grey scale. This project is in black and white with shades of gray, no color
